Celebrating Fathers as Partners in Perinatal Health |
|
This Father’s Day, we celebrate and thank all the fathers, father figures, and partners who support mothers, babies, and families during pregnancy and beyond. Research consistently shows that engaged fathers and father figures are protective factors as they play an important role in promoting child development and providing essential social, emotional, and cognitive support.
In recognition of the impact fathers make, the March of Dimes is hosting a virtual Father’s Day event, Dad’s Make A Difference: Advocating for Mothers and Babies, on June 18th, 2026, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM CDT, highlighting fatherhood, advocacy, and the important role dads play in maternal and infant health.

|
Just one week away! Join us on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 PM CDT, for MNPQC's next Perinatal Education ECHO session, featuring Tolu Odebunmi, MBBS, MPH, who will discuss the critical realities of postpartum psychosis.
Postpartum psychosis is a rare but severe psychiatric emergency characterized by atypical presentations and rapidly fluctuating symptoms that are frequently overlooked or misdiagnosed. This session focuses on sharpening diagnostic accuracy and navigating the complexities of acute management. Through a case-based approach, we will explore the critical window for intervention to ensure the safety of both the parent and the infant.

Available in all MN Counties: The Parent Support Outreach Program (PSOP) |
|
In 2019 alone, the Parent Support Outreach Program (PSOP) supported more than 4,300 families across Minnesota by connecting parents and caregivers with resources that promote family well-being — including family health services, basic needs support, transportation, and child care assistance, and financial and parenting education. PSOP is a voluntary, early intervention program that helps strengthen families, build connections, and ensure caregivers have access to the support they need.
Families eligible for PSOP include those with at least one child age 10 or younger in the home or an individual who is pregnant. The program can support eligible families experiencing a variety of circumstances, including financial challenges, housing instability, mental health needs, substance use, domestic violence, or previous child protection involvement. Because every county’s services are unique, explore PSOP resources available in your community today!

MoMMAs Voices I Am Still Here Summit: Lived Experience Event & Resource |
|
The Maternal Mortality & Morbidity Advocates (MoMMAs Voices) is a program of the Preeclampsia Foundation designed to support women whose lives were changed by pregnancy, birth, postpartum complications, infant loss, or maternal health trauma in using their voice to advocate for meaningful systems change.
The I Am Still Here Summit in Denton, Texas, on October 25-27, 2026, will bring together women from across the United States to openly discuss their leadership in advocacy work, access practical tools and guidance to strengthen their voices, and learn strategies for translating personal experiences into meaningful change across different sectors of perinatal care. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with others who share an understanding of what it means to “still be here” after a traumatic maternal health event. Early bird registration is open until June 30, 2026.
